WRITE FOR US!

If you are a writer looking to hone your craft and enjoy news, politics and alcohol, please apply to be a Bartender here at The Drunk Report.  We’re especially interested in writers who can cover the economy and Congress.

We don’t care if you’re liberal, conservative or indifferent, as long as you can write well and have opinions with a basis in facts and not whatever you pulled out of your ass, we’re good.

Interested parties should submit an email submission addressed to either:

  • Cat Martini, Editor-in-Chief – catmartini@thedrunkreport.net
  • Jack Manhattan, Managing Editor – jackmanhattan@thedrunkreport.net

Your submission should contain the following:

  1. Name, location (city, state/province, country)
  2. Proposed pseudonym (preferably more than one, just in case)
  3. Why you want to write for The Drunk Report
  4. A writing sample

The writing sample must meet the following standards for consideration:

  • Drink references (preferably to a particular day:  see Bar Rules – just pick a day, it doesn’t have to be the day on which you submit it).
  • Topic must be relevant (nothing older than 3 days, MAX.  You may use history or older news to bolster your article, but not as the main topic.)
  • References should be linked in the body of the article.
  • Make sure your article is thoroughly fleshed out.
