Many if not most of these same people are the very ones who stand to gain most from a public alternative to private health insurance. Doing nothing will soon mean that all of us--that's ALL of us--will be hurt. Those who are indifferent to the fate of the 40+ million without insurance remind me of the man in a sinking boat who refuses to bail because he's not responsible for the leak.
