Gay Marriage Will Only Be Solved in the Courts!

by Jack Manhattan

Yesterday it was the Stoli, today its the Boli, cuz a bitch is blowing this shit out!!! Go big or go home! The heroic and just court case in California, Perry v. Schwarzenegger, against the puritanical and UNCONSTITUTIONAL passage of Proposition 8, is being poo-pooed by some gay rights groups.

The Human Rights Campaign and Lambda Legal among them, are both in Obama’s pocket. I’m assuming its the pocket he keeps the INCEST and BEASTIALITY he compared homosexuals to in his disgusting and bigoted defense of the Defense of Marriage Act.

No, we need to full out support Theodore B. Olson and David Boies, the attorneys who brought the case. These are the two opposing councils in the most contested event of my life, the Gore v. Bush battle that (barely and unfortunately) landed the dumbass known as Dubya in the White House.

These two men are not at each other’s throats over this, because they are good lawyers. They fight the legal battles in the courtroom, and let the personal lives of the participants be just that. These two believe in a Constitution that is living and breathing. Gay marriage is not a “special interest,” it is an inalienable right.

If gay marriage were to be legalized, what would happen? Nothing. No one would be subjected to butt-fucking in front of their kids’ school field trip. (Unless they stopped at the “Leather and Lingerie”, just ask Cat!)

In fact, the bigots are so scared because their kids will be exposed not to gay sex, but to kids that are just like them, but with gay parents. Suddenly, all the bigoted bullshit that they wanted to tell their kids would be meaningless. How could Little Suzie’s dad’s be bad? Little Suzie is Little Linda’s BFF. What kind of parent says you can’t play with someone because their parents are different?

This is the real fear. The opponents of Gay Marriage are the same people who want censorship, and book burnings, because they are so scared that the braces they’ve placed on their children’s brains may be broken. That there may be a wider, more beautiful and more peaceful world out there where the sexuality of an individual is not the sum total. Or their skin colour, or their race, or their religion.

In short, they are scared, and they are choosing the easiest scapegoat. Unfortunately, in this world, in this culture, those barriers are breaking down fast. They have already lost, but it will still take some work to finish the job.
