Take a shot, my friends. Around my parts this is known as “Bad Luck Tuesday”. And it seems that what goes around comes around. The Republicans are so stuck on the “Obama is the enemy” rant that they have forgotten that they were elected to actually DO SOMETHING!!!
The Obama Administration has been somewhat lax in its campaign promises, true. However, the public PR war against the administration is just annoying at this point. Republicans blame him for the lack of H1N1 vaccines (despite the fact that Republicans voted AGAINST! the bill that would have increased funding for the vaccine), they blame him for the wars (plural) that he inherited that are not going well. PS they weren’t going well under that moron George W. Bush, but that was different, wasn’t it?!
While Obama is not living up to his campaign promises, and I will not be giving any money to either his campaign or the DNC until they actually show up and do what they said, he is not the sole reason that the country is in a hole. The economy was going down anyway. If it had happened on Dubya’s watch (rather than the last couple of months where he showed up on camera to reassure the American people looking like a deer in headlights!) he would have gotten the short end of the stick. (Except on Faux News).
So, Republicans, if Obama is so bad, where are your alternatives? You decry his every move and policy as evil, but where are your responses? What would you have if not universal health coverage? A living wage? A law that says you can’t beat the crap out of someone because they are gay/black/whatever other than straight white and middle class. Give us an answer! Say what you want, rather than just what you don’t want. And Joe Wilson: Hope your wife is feeling better after you voted AGAINST the bill that would have provided more H1N1 vaccines.
